Meadowlark Lane Birds was born out of a shared love for nature, craftsmanship, and the peaceful beauty of rural Pennsylvania.  Our journey began with a young Mennonite craftsman from our community, who generously taught us the art of birdhouse-making. His guidance sparked a passion that has become the heart of our shop.  I grew up in a small town in Lancaster County, surrounded by the rolling farmland and quiet charm the area is known for. My husband, on the other hand, was raised in Coatesville—a place with a very different, more urban landscape. We met in the city of Lancaster, and thirty years later, we're still side by side, building a life rooted in love, creativity, and appreciation for the natural world.  We started Meadowlark Lane Birdhouses as a way to continue doing what we love—creating handmade, nature-inspired goods—well into our retirement years. Every item in our shop is made with care, tradition, and a touch of our story.  Thank you for being a part of this journey with us.
