Introducing our handcrafted “Shed Birdhouse,” a charming design inspired by the simple outbuildings and weathered sheds found throughout the countryside of Lancaster. Slightly larger than our Baby Wren single-hole style, this compact yet roomy birdhouse measures approximately 10" long and 8" high—making it a perfect addition to your garden, porch, or patio.
Crafted from authentic reclaimed barn wood and topped with reclaimed tin roofing, this piece carries the strength, texture, and heritage of generations past. The tin roof features a distinctive brown and black patina that gives it a naturally aged, camouflage-like character. It is also available in classic red and rustic yellow for those who love a touch of traditional barn color.
Designed with both beauty and practicality in mind, clean-out hatches are located on both sides for easy spring maintenance. Iron masonry nails are used as perches, adding sturdy support and an authentic vintage detail. A heavy-duty wire ring is securely attached to the roof for hanging from a tree branch or hook, and the design is equally suited for mounting on a post.
Because each birdhouse is made from salvaged barn and shed materials, natural variations in wood tone, rust patterns, nail holes, and weathered textures ensure that no two pieces are ever exactly alike. Every birdhouse tells its own story, making yours truly one of a kind.
Whether you’re a birdwatching enthusiast or simply want to add rustic farmhouse charm to your space, this Shed Birdhouse offers timeless appeal. It even works beautifully indoors—because who says apartments can’t have birdhouses? It also makes a thoughtful birthday or housewarming gift for anyone who appreciates handcrafted heritage décor.
Made to Order: Each birdhouse is handcrafted just for you. Please allow 1-2 weeks for creation and shipping.
Birdhouse weighs approximately 3 pounds. Entrance holes are 1 1/8" for wrens and smaller birds. *Holes may be made bigger for other-sized birds.
